Best Bose Wireless Soundbar

In this post, we’re going to look side by side at the latest wireless Bose soundbars, the Soundbar 300, the Soundbar 500, and the Soundbar 700. The first thing you will notice is the distinction in size. The 500 is 31.5 inches shorter, where the size of the 300 & the 700 is 38.5 inches. The 500 is also 1 and 3/4 inches shorter. The 300 & the 700 is a2-inch and 1/4-inch taller.
Both soundbars share a very comparable upscale design other than the physical size. There will be glass running across the top of the 700 that readily picks up fingerprints and dust, but the 500 has a matt material that is a bit more resistant to those fingerprints. To assist with this problem, the Bose 700 comes with a cleaning cloth. The Bose 500 doesn’t, but it still doesn’t need that much of the cleaning cloth.
Both Bose soundbars have the same grille style, made of a single piece of perforated aluminum running across the front and wrapping around the bottom. The other distinction in a layout you’ll notice is how the inputs are laid out on the back. Both have the same, one HDMI with ARC and one optical audio input, but the Bose Soundbar 700 comes with both wires and only one HDMI cable comes with the 500. It’s not a massive deal since you’re typically going to use one or the other, but if you get the 500 and you’re going to have to use an optical cable, you’re going to want to make sure you’ve got one of those on hand to install.
The sound is another category in which you will notice a distinction. The 700 has constructed in more drivers, which enables it to fill a bigger space. Not only that, but it also seems to perform a little better around the sound. It just provides a wider sound-stage, making anything you watch more engaging. For music and films, the vocals also seem to pop up a bit more.

These systems can be extended as well. They each have separate optional subwoofers, and Bose makes a collection of wireless surround speakers that can be added to any scheme to offer you complete setup of surroundings. The way they are regulated is another noticeable distinction. There is the same job with both the Bose Music app and the functionality. There are also two touch buttons integrated into the top of both soundbars. But these provided remotes are where they vary.
The 300 and 500 have a more fundamental one intended to work with the soundbar alone. The 700 comes with a universal remote that incorporates a distinctive function. It only illuminates the buttons appropriate to the source on which you are. This makes it much easier to use than there are other universal remotes. The sources from which to pick will be your TV, cable satellite box, Blu-ray player, game system, or other sources. So the Bose Soundbar 700 has the larger sound, better remote cleaning cloth, and optical cable provided, but it also costs about $250 more.

Bose Soundtouch 300 Review

The SoundTouch range, Bose’s recent soundbar offering, is similar to the Build-A-Bear-idea. First choose your basic item, then adjust it to the wish of your heart.

Of course, the single bar route has a space-saving benefit over multi-speakers, and in that respect, the SoundTouch 300 does an excellent job of spreading the sound around a room independent of any assistance.

Building Bluetooth brings it on an equal level with most soundbars across the price spectrum, and NFC’s comfort is a sure-fire bonus. But its capacity to stream music from the likes of Spotify, Deezer and Amazon Music, straight through the Bose SoundTouch app, is less typical of the soundbar marketplace. Presets providing shortcuts for particular songs, albums or artists are precious inclusions, and we like Spotify to be integrated into the app itself so that you are not redirected to the streaming service.

Build

The motto of the Bose design team may well be’ one should see soundbars and not hear them.’ Due to its black, sleek and discreet look, the SoundTouch 300 is likely to sink into the visual space at the bottom of your TV. And it shouldn’t obstruct any screen it’s in front of due to its reasonably flat, 6cm-tall size.

The perforated wrap-around metal grille and glass top rightly distinguish it from the plastic build below the price band, and while it is physically a good spread across a 50 in telly width-wise, there is no question that it has the width of sound to be used with a larger one.

Sound

We connect it to our Cambridge Audio CXU Blu-ray player via HDMI and hit play, and immediately discover that the Bose has no problem pushing the soundtrack beyond every corner of the screen. While boats hardly feel as if they are flying overhead, there is a good sense of them entering, crossing and leaving a vast, expansive and well-integrated sound field. However, it remains fairly composed due to the presentation having plenty of weight and body.
The Bose eventually falls short of the standard set by the class-leading contest, including the multi-award-winning Dali Kubik One, as many have done before. It has the upper bass punch and energy to get behind exploding boats and collapsing planets, but it does not burrow deep enough to transmit the underlying thrum–a gap for the wireless subwoofer of Acoustimass 300 to fill.

While voices peep with clarity and enough detail through the action to get across the cracked robotics of Kylo Ren masked, the Dali has the midrange transparency and additional solidity to make it even more threatening. Dynamically, the orchestral score does not rise and fall as dramatically as it should under the action. The Bose can only sound so exciting in the end. An impressive sound is no less a necessity than an input link when you spend this much on a soundbar.

Unfortunately, it can only save so much for the Bose SoundTouch 300, its generous network characteristics and practical design. If you haven’t already purchased into the SoundTouch family and are dead set to expand your multi-room set-up with a soundbar, we’d be mildly cautious about breaking our pounds here.

Bose Soundbar 500 Review

Best Bose Wireless Soundbar

We are looking at the Bose soundbar model 500 in a black finish in this chapter, which is the only finish available for this particular speaker. This is the SB 700 soundbar’s little brother, and luckily, because the 700 is a great speaker, it has a lot in common. So this one is just 31.5 inches wide a little lower but has the same comparable structure.

Build

It looks and feels incredibly high-end. There is no glass on this one, but it’s a beautiful matt material that passes through the top and the grill is made of a single piece of perforated aluminum that covers the front and wraps around the sides.
The only visible buttons are touch-sensitive places on the top and are for the action button and the eight built-in microphones to be turned on or off. The microphones are for voice pickup because Amazon’s Alexa is built-in to this soundbar. It should also get a Google Assistant and Apple AirPlay 2 with a future update, so we have a lot of flexibility here. The remaining controls will be situated on the remote supplied or via the Bose Music app. Yes, you need to download a new Bose app to use with your new product, which we don’t like to do, but the new app is well structured and it’s simple to get the hang of it.

Sound

You receive an HDMI with an audio return channel and an optical input for outputs. Bose will provide an HDMI cable, but if you want to use the optical input, you will need to provide your own. You can also take advantage of Bluetooth without using the app.
Now, the sound was outstanding just as it was on the Bose Soundbar 700. In this specific model, there are not as many drivers, but at any quantity, it sounds precise and clear. The vocals were also sharp and dull to differentiate. There are mids and highs where this one shines, but the bass is sufficient, even without a distinct subwoofer. You can always add the base module 500 if you need more bass, which makes a significant difference.
So this is the 500 Bose soundbar. If you’re searching for an excellent substitute for built-in speakers from your TV that provides plenty of flexibility with the built-in Amazon Alexa feature, this is a soundbar that you should consider.

–It’s a sharp design.
–The sound is amazing.
–It’s simple to use the app.

It has some updates that will make it even better in the hopefully not-too-distant future. The only thing about most Bose products, and we say that if you pay a premium for this speaker, but sometimes it’s worth the effort to get something that looks and operates just as well as this one does.

This is the 700 model of the Bose soundbar. Now, the one we’re watching here is in the black line, but if that’s what you’re searching for, it also comes in white. It’s Bose’s top-end soundbar model. We’re trying to take a look at what should make this presenter awesome in this chapter. The layout is very high-end, just like their last top-end model, the ST 300. There’s a glass top that appears excellent but for fingerprints and dirt it’s an utter magnet.

Build
However, cleaning is easy enough, and it’s not really that annoying, so you don’t have to worry about it, and Bose offers you with a cleaning cloth to use in the box. The grill will be produced from a single piece of aluminum that wraps around the front and sides all the way around, and the speaker’s back will be completed off with a durable plastic feel.
The only two noticeable buttons on the top of the glass are the action button and one to turn on and off the eight built-in microphones. The microphones pick up Alexa’s voice command for Amazon, but with a future update it should work with Google’s assistant and Apple AirPlay 2. The remainder of the controls will be situated on the remote, which for this specific speaker is another of Bose’s inventions.

The only buttons you will notice when you first look at it are power, volume up and down, and then directional controls in the center with a select button. But when you pick up the remote, the only buttons that will light up are the buttons that apply to the setting in which it is. Now, this will be good for anyone concerned about pushing the incorrect buttons and perhaps altering a setting you may not understand how to change back, and it makes the remote look much less intimidating for a first-time consumer.
Through the Bose Music app, you can control the Soundbar 700 the other way. We’re not an enormous fan of a single brand with multiple separate applications for their distinct products now, but the new music app is pretty nice. It’s well laid out, and it’s easy to get the hang of, and if you have kids or a spouse who doesn’t understand how to put the remote back where it belongs, it’s good to have another way to control the speaker.

Sound

Now, we were highly pleased with this one when it comes to sound quality. The drivers, on whom Bose doesn’t offer a lot of detail, provide excellent mids and highs, and the vocals came very powerfully and cleared. It also does an excellent job throwing sound around the room, so you feel like the room has additional speakers. We know, it sounds gimmicky, but it does.
The bass is also outstanding, as this doesn’t have a dedicated built-in subwoofer. Now, that being said, you can add their wireless bass module 700 if you want to improve the experience, and although the bass on the soundbar itself is beautiful, the bass module is a whole distinct level.

In the box, Bose also provides you some accessories. For example, an HDMI, an optical cable, and they also give an adapted IQ headset to optimize the sound from the speaker based on the room where it is located. We didn’t have to use this function, but for anyone who does, it’s there.

We like this speaker very much.
It looks amazing.
It sounds amazing.

The app is functioning well. And it has a universal remote control that is easy to use. The only downside could be the cost. You’re paying a premium for Bose product, but in my experience, the ease of installation and the high-end looks help justify a price on the high side that could be just a tad.
